THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR MAKING SHOREH'S SURPRISE SUCH A WONDERFUL EVENING!!!! WE HAD 72 GUESTS COME WISH HER A HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
Normally, I would share with everyone photos and videos from the
evening. However, ALL of the pictures and videos I took were corrupted
and could not be recovered (details below for fellow computer geeks who
want to know what happened). Anyone who shared in last night's event
will surely remember it forever, but it would be great to have some of
those memories to share!
So, with that, I have a HUGE favor to ask. Anyone with photos of videos
of last night's surprise, PLEASE share them with us!!! Please call/text
me at 503-309-3284 or email me at scott@ponyfool.com and we can
coordinate transfer of pictures/videos. Please do not send regular text
messages with videos/photos to my cell phone, the quality gets
destroyed during the transfer, especially if it's Apple to Android.
However, if you use Whatsapp, Signal or FB Messenger, those typically
do not degrade the video/photo quality and I would love to receive
those. Otherwise, I'll make arrangements to either bring a thumb drive, or we can discuss other means of online transfer.
For the computer geeks out there who want to learn how I screwed up and
destroyed all evidence of last night's party, here you go:
I plugged the camera in to the computer to download all of the videos.
At the same time, I plugged a thumb drive in to the computer to
transfer an unrelated very large video file from my computer to the
thumb drive. I saw that the thumb drive already had a bunch of files on
it, so I deleted those files to make room and then after deleting the
files, I transferred the large video file to the thumb drive. However,
it wasn't the thumb drive, it was the camera. I accidentally deleted
all video and photos on the camera, and then I transferred the large
video file on to the camera. Once I realized my mistake, I spent
hundreds of dollars on various data recovery software apps to try to
recover the videos. Had I simply just deleted them, all of them would
have been recovered. But because I overwrote the data with that large
video file, all data was lost as confirmed by the fragments I was able
to recover.
So, anyone who has video/photos of last nights events, I would love to have those memories!
Also, we have a few plates and serving dishes that would make wonderful
additions to our kitchen, but they aren't ours. Please contact Shoreh
to get your items back!
Thank you again everyone for making this a very memorable evening!!
